Blue Hayes is a stylish boutique coastal hotel in Cornwall overlooking the bay and harbour at St Ives. It is a 5 minutes walk away from the centre of this beautiful Cornish seaside town and is situated above Porthminster Beach. It has been created to be an oasis of calm tranquility, a place to escape from the pressures of life and relax in clear sunlight and the gentle sea breezes of this magical and mystical part of Cornwall. From the moment you enter this fine private coastal hotel, you will notice the close attention to detail, the high standard of service and the high-tech facilities, all of which blend seamlessly into an atmosphere of quiet, informal luxury. Cool, minimalist rooms have been created within a whitewashed 1920s building. It’s a real suntrap and on a summer’s morning feels like the French Riviera, with even palm trees in the garden.
There are just five luxurious hotel rooms all designated as suites, all of which have en-suite bathrooms with baths and state-of-the-art showers with body jets. With Molton Brown toiletries, pocket sprung mattresses and goose down pillows you could have one of the most comfortable night’s sleep ever. Enjoy your breakfast in the dining room or on your own terrace while planning your relaxing day ahead, whether it’s a stroll round the Tate in St Ives or seal watching at Godrevey Lighthouse.
There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance from Blue Hayes, but on some evenings you may wish to just unwind on the terrace or in the dining room, and enjoy a light hotel supper with a good bottle of wine. Light supper dishes are served cold, between 7pm and 8.30pm, and need to be ordered in advance, either at breakfast time for that evening or earlier. A selection of local seafood and vegetarian options including; lobster, salmon, mackerel and local Cornish cheese platters. There is also a Cocktail Bar with a tempting selection to try while watching the sun go down over St Ives.
