Lighthouse Gallery promises an ever changing and exciting show full of colour, imagination and light. Born from a love of art and enjoyment of Gallery browsing, Lighthouse offers an intimate and friendly atmosphere, capturing the mood of Cornish Art. This fresh, bright Gallery features both contemporary and traditional paintings by artists from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Complimented by ceramics, glass, pottery and artist made jewellery.
Opened in April 2003 by Directors Christine Weschke and Tracey Spry, Lighthouse Gallery’s clean lines and simple layout provide the perfect space in which to present work by a number of leading local artists, including work by members of the Newlyn, Penwith and St Ives Societies.
Their web site gives details of all the artists showing and also information on solo and current exhibitions. Their Christmas exhibition is well worth a visit as you are bound to find a unique work of art at an affordable price for that special present and they have now opened a second gallery at 18 River Street, Truro.
The galleries are open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. Truro Gallery can be found at 18 River Street, Truro, TR1 2SQ - 01872 277001.
