The Market House Gallery is located in Marazion on the south coast of Cornwall home to the historic island and castle St Michaels Mount.
Market House Gallery is owned and run by Paul Longthorne. Paul took over the gallery in 2007 and has returned it to its grass roots with quality 20th Century Cornish Artists and the introduction of several new current figures.
Market House Gallery features artists such as Sir Terry Frost, Sandra Blow, Breon O´Casey, Bryan Pearce and Julian Dyson. These are a very small example of the number of artists whose work can be found in the gallery and they can also source artists work for you.
Art, sculpture, glassworks and ceramics feature here with details of all current, future and past exhibitions found on their web site. With six exhibitions a year featuring solo and groups of artists there is a continuous flow of creativity within the gallery.
Visiting Marazion you can park your car and wander through the small streets and depending on the tide you can walk along the cobbled causeway to St Michaels Mount or travel in one of the small ferries that operate when the tide is in. There are tea shops, beautiful sandy beaches with views to Lands end and the Lizard Peninsula, restaurants, and craft shops to browse through.
