Gyllyngvase beach is the main beach in Falmouth and also the most popular. It has plenty of soft, golden sand and rock pools to explore. There is a fantastic beach café situated right on the sand which has a great reputation for homecooked food. Public toilets and a large car park are located close by. There is also an ice cream and soft drinks seller where you can also purchase beach balls if you’re feeling energetic!
The views from the beach look over to Pendennis Castle and Pendennis Point and you can often watch large ships heading round to Falmouth docks to the left as you look directly out to sea. Although in the summer months this beach does get very busy it is a safe beach to swim from and has a path leading round to Swanpool beach.
