Kynance Cove

Two miles north of Lizard Point lies Kynance Cove, with its white sandy beach and islands of multicoloured serpentine rock with stacks and arches hidden amongst the towering cliffs.
Now owned by the National Trust Kynance Cove is close to the restored Lizard Wireless Station where Marconi began his historic wireless experiments, and the Marconi Centre at Poldhu.
At the back of the cove is the Kynance Café which first opened for business in 1929 which until recent years relied on spring water and a generator for power. When the Café became the property of the National trust in 1999 the Trust renovated and improved services to Kynance Café and Kynance Beach Cottage by connecting mains water and electricity from the main Helston to Lizard road, about three quarters of a mile away. Today it makes the perfect place to stop and sample the cornish pasties, fresh sandwiches and baguettes, not to mention the mouth watering home made cakes and cream teas.

There are toilet facilities and a car park at Kynance cove, although please note dogs are only allowed between the 1st October and Easter.
