Robert and Stella Hore found the perfect place to open their nursery in 1985, in the valley of Lanherne in the village of St Mawgan.
The nursery is now well established and holds some twenty thousand trees plus; including a wide selection of indoor and outdoor varieties, a substantial number of trees [various sizes/ages] ready for styling, and a good selection of Specimens, some of which are placed amongst the general stock whilst others are housed apart in a special display.
In 1991 they began to build the Japanese Garden – this is a most beautiful area of peace and tranquility throughout all the different sections. There is bamboo grove, Zen Garden, Tea House, waterfalls, ponds and bridges and of course plenty of Buddha’s placed around the pathways. The planting in the garden has been done with an enormous amount of thought and planning and will inspire you to want to do your own.
The garden and nursery are open 7 days week from 10am to 6pm (5.30pm in winter). Closed Christmas Day to New Years Day.
