Tehidy woods near Camborne in West Cornwall are part of Tehidy Country Park, a beautiful country park of around 250 acres, including around 9 miles of nature trails. It was formerly the estate of the Bassett family who made a fortune from tin.
In the 1730s Tehidy House was built with parks and gardens. These are now known as Tehidy Woods. The main house was then used as a hospital in 1918 and has now been turned into exclusive residential apartments.
