Camel Valley vineyard was planted in 1989 by Bob Lindo and his wife Annie on their family farm. Today it boasts some of this country’s finest wine and in 2005 their Camel Valley Brut was the only sparkling wine to win a gold Award outside the Champagne region to win a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge, proving conclusively that English wines can compete with the best in the world – and win.

The vineyard now offers guided tours with complimentary glass of wine, they have a special Gold Tour which includes a buffet lunch using locally sourced Cornish ingredients and a guided tour by the Vineyard Manager, tasting as you go.

The shop is open daily from 10am through to 5pm and when you go home they have an excellent on-line shop to keep you in stock of your favorite wines!

The grapes love the pure Cornish air and the sunny slopes above the Camel River allowing a unique flavour to develop and giving the wine its trademark crisp, fruity taste.

Alongside the vineyard there are two delightful self-catering converted barns, so that you can watch the sun go down over the vines while sipping a chilled glass of Camel Valley wine provided for your stay. During the fishing season you can enjoy salmon fishing whilst staying in their accommodation – they will provide a complimentary salmon fishing licence.
