Inn with Rooms in Cornwall

The Plume of Feathers was once a 16th Century Coaching Inn and provided a welcome stop for weary travelers. It does pretty much the same today but with the emphasis on good quality food and well designed accommodation.

The old stables and barn behind the pub have been superbly converted to create five inviting bed & breakfast rooms. All rooms feature King size wrought iron beds, either bath or shower en suite and tasteful neutral décor. Breakfasts here will set you up for a days exploring, from the free range eggs and local sausages to the freshly squeezed orange juice.

The Plume has a reputation for its food and good service. The menu features daily specials depending on what the local fishermen at Newquay have caught and is good value for money. The fruit and vegetables travel just a few hundred yards from Mitchell Fruit Farm – no carbon footprint there! It is open all day so that you can enjoy a relaxing lunch, traditional cream tea or catch up with friends over a candlelit dinner.

It has a large garden with wooden benches and proper sized umbrellas and the car park is a good size too. It is conveniently placed for hopping onto the A30 and touring the Cornish coastline or visiting any of the other attractions mentioned within this site.

On their web site they have an Events section which gives details of what’s happening at the pub
